We have set up 3 YahooGroups email lists

The main list for full members
A list for temporary members
A list for any members who wish to be involved with our Book Club

Full members are reminded that they can use the our Yahoo!Group to send a message to most of our club members by sending a single email (once your sending email address has been added to the list). You may also send emails to the tempoary members email list.

Currently around 50 Swindon IVC members subscribe to this Yahoo! Groups list which is for members to communicate with each other on IVC matters. A message posted to the list is forwarded to all subscribers. Please do not abuse the list by posting chain emails or including large attachments.

The main use of the list is to communicate a message about an event (e.g. a pub night invite or other late details of an event). It is the clubs practice to issue a weekly update of what's on the following week after the Wednesday club night.

A few notes on the operation of the list:-

Please be aware that you can only post a message from a sending email address that is exactly the same as the one you have registered otherwise your email may disappear into a "black hole" with no error message! You will know your message has been successfully posted when you receive it back as a group message. However users can register several email addresses if required (i.e. work & home). For each registration you may elect to receive individual emails, a daily digest, or none. If you have a yahoo ID (its free!) and associate it with our list, you may view list emails via the web (but not any attachments - yahoo no longer store these).

The service is free to Swindon IVC - we just have to accept an advert at the end of messages.
